PURPOSE

To provide a clear, step-by-step guide on how to record or update voicemail greetings in Wildix.

SCOPE

All employees and team members using Wildix VoIP phones and softphones who need to change their voicemail greeting(s).

PROCEDURE

1. Access Your Voicemail

• Hardphone: Dial *81
• Softphone / Mobile App: Dial 81
• Enter PIN (If Prompted): Follow the spoken instructions to confirm your extension and/or PIN.

2. Navigate to Mailbox Options

1. Press 0: This accesses the “Mailbox Options” menu where you can record your greetings.

3. Choose the Greeting to Record

In the Mailbox Options menu, you will hear prompts to select which greeting you want to edit:

• Press 1: Record/Update your Unavailable (No Answer) greeting.
• Press 2: Record/Update your Busy greeting.
• Press 3: Record/Update your Name prompt.

(Note: The exact function of keys 1, 2, or 3 may differ slightly depending on system configuration, but this is the most common setup.)

4. Record and Save

1. Follow the Voice Prompts:
   • Press the indicated key to start recording.
   • Wait for the beep, then speak clearly into the phone.
2. End Recording: Press the designated key (often #) when you finish speaking.
3. Review / Save / Re-record: You will be prompted to listen to your recording. Follow instructions to save if you’re satisfied or re-record if needed.

5. Exit

• Hang Up or Press the “End Call” Button: Once you have finished updating all desired greetings.
