PURPOSE

This document explains how to calculate the PIN needed to access your Wildix voicemail from a physical (hard) phone or external line. Softphone and mobile app users are authenticated automatically and do not require a PIN for voicemail access.

SCOPE

All employees who use Wildix for voice communications.

PROCEDURE

1. Determine Whether You Need a PIN

1. Hardphone or External Phone: PIN is required to access your voicemail.
2. Softphone or Mobile App: No PIN is required; simply open your voicemail tab, and you can listen to messages directly (see “How to Access Voicemails” SOP for details).

2. Gather Your Wildix Password

• Identify your Wildix account password (the one used to log in to the Wildix system).

3. Calculate Your PIN

Your voicemail PIN is derived from the first 5 characters of your Wildix account password:

1. Letters: Convert each letter to the corresponding number on a phone keypad (single press):
   • A, B, C => 2
   • D, E, F => 3
   • G, H, I => 4
   • J, K, L => 5
   • M, N, O => 6
   • P, Q, R, S => 7
   • T, U, V => 8
   • W, X, Y, Z => 9
2. Numbers: Keep them exactly as they are (e.g., 0 => 0, 2 => 2).
3. Symbols (e.g., @, #, $, %, !, etc.): Use * to represent any symbol.

4. Example

If your Wildix password starts with Alph@:

• A => 2
• L => 5
• P => 7
• H => 4
• @ => *

Your voicemail PIN would be 2574*

5. Using Your PIN on a Hardphone

1. *Dial 81 on your Wildix hardphone.
2. When Prompted, enter your voicemail PIN (e.g., 2574*).
3. Follow the voice prompts to listen to, delete, or manage your messages.
