Purpose
This guide explains how to access and listen to voicemail messages, delete messages, and set a custom voicemail greeting in Wildix Collaboration 7.
Scope
Applies to all employees using Wildix Collaboration 7. Voicemail is accessible from the web browser, Windows desktop app, mobile app, and desk phone.
Procedure
Access and Listen to Voicemail
- In the left-hand navigation, click the Voicemail tab (envelope or cassette icon).
- Your voicemail inbox will display all messages, with the newest at the top.
- Click on a message to expand it.
- Click the Play button to listen. You can also download the message as an audio file if needed.
- Unread messages are highlighted. Once played, they are marked as read.
Delete a Voicemail
- In the Voicemail tab, locate the message you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button (trash icon) next to the message.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Note: Deleted voicemails cannot be recovered. If you need to retain a message, download it as an audio file before deleting.
Set Voicemail Greeting
- Browser or Desktop App: Dial *81
- Press 0: This accesses the “Mailbox Options” menu where you can record your greetings.
- In the Mailbox Options menu, you will hear prompts to select which greeting you want to edit:
- Press 1: Record/Update your Unavailable (No Answer) greeting.
- Press 2: Record/Update your Busy greeting.
- Press 3: Record/Update your Name prompt.
(Note: The exact function of keys 1, 2, or 3 may differ slightly depending on system configuration, but this is the most common setup.)
- Follow the Voice Prompts:
- Press the indicated key to start recording.
- Wait for the beep, then speak clearly into the phone.
- End Recording: Press the designated key (often #) when you finish speaking.
- Review / Save / Re-record: You will be prompted to listen to your recording. Follow instructions to save if you’re satisfied or re-record if needed.
- Hang Up or Press the “End Call” Button: Once you have finished updating all desired greetings.
